Go get an apple. Go on, I’ll wait…
You got it? Ok.
Hold it close to your nose and smell it. Let its aroma seep into every pore of your nasal cavity. Let the sweet mixture of aroma overwhelm your senses. Let the apple take control.
Now, take a bite.
Feel the melodious flavor as the apple mixes with your saliva. Taste the sweet juices as the apple releases its rich contents into your mouth. Swivel the slender apple in your mouth. Let your tongue go over every part of the apple. Take note of its shape in your mouth. Let your tongue act like a blind man’s hands. Let it ensue in the apple’s structure and texture. Like cream its skin.
Do not swallow just yet.
Engage it in some foreplay for a while longer. Clearly identify its every point keeping in mind all the time its heart shape, its crimson color, its sweet aroma and vivid flavor. Realize that this is the same apple Adam and Eve were cursed for.
Temptation.
Understand the value of this apple as you feel it go down your throat into your narrow esophagus. Now try to grasp it while it moves along in your body. Try to understand the troubles everyone went through to get you that apple. Understand the suffering, the joy of you eating that apple. To think that some would die to take your apple away from you.
Repeat to yourself its many components as it passes into your duodenum, as you feel it being slowly digested into its simplest compounds. Understand its complexity and grieve when it passes out of your body. But do not grieve too much and have another bite of that apple…

Anyway, I love the theme, it's fantastic...it shows two things:
1) We do not value what we have in our hands these days. We do not understand how privilaged we are to have food entering into our mouth filling up the greedy belly of ours.
2) Attachment. We are attached by material things so much that we lost our human side by being a slave o our possession.
Great piece, very deep and in depth...
Imagery used is powerful, I wish you emphasized more on color as well. That would have been gorgeous.
